Members attending this meeting were informed the Post was being dissolved, that all funds were being disbursed to Sweetwater City non-profit organizations and that it was recommended members transfer to other Posts in the area. Post 106 was part of District 2 during the period of inactivity and Dennis Mouldenhour contacted various members of the post trying to stimulate interest in revitalizing the post. In the ensuing months members were contacted, who then formed a fact finding committee to evaluate interest in continuing the Post, letters were sent out to all members on the rolls.
