The formation meeting of the Post was held on July 9, 2016 at the Hickory Tavern, Indian Land, SC.  The formation team submitted a temporary Charter the State Department of the American Legion on July 9. 2016 with 37 verified members.  It was approved by the Department on July 9,2016.

The 2nd meeting of the Post was held October 2016 at the Del Webb Library.  Jim Reese accepted Chairmanship of the Flag Committee.  The Committee will be setting US Flags at the grave sites of Veterans this Veterans Day.  Post 250 is planning to organize an American Legion Auxiliary in the near future.  Guest County Commander Robert Doc Sweet gave members and insight on Legion programs. The 3rd meeting of the Post was held November 2016 at the Del Webb Library.  November 23^rd delivered the food collection to the Belair Church Food Bank.  Guest Director of Veterans’ Services of South Carolina Melinda Woodhurst spoke on Veteran’s Rights giving information and offering to help Veterans to get these benefits.

The 4th meeting of the Post was held December 2016 at Rippington’s Restaurant in Waxhaw it was a  social meeting celebrating the Holidays.  Joan Tenney spoke on the formation of the Post 250 Auxiliary.

The 5th meeting of the Post was held January 2017 at our new meeting location, Cruzin Reubenz.  The Post voted to sponsor one boy to Boys State, one youth to the Law Cadet  Academy, two JROTC medals and all Eagle Scout medals.  The Post presented teacher Neely S Crawford’s class a Certificate of Appreciation for writing letters to Local veterans.

The 6th meeting of the Post was held February 2017 at Cruzin Reubenz this was a social event celebrating Valentine’s Day.   Announced at the meeting were the recipients of the Post Persons of the Year.  Certificate of Citizenship Eagle Scout Jack Charles Boggs. The 7th meeting of the Post was held March2017 at Cruzin Reubenz.   The Post gave Fire Chief Thomas W. Pickard a certificate and gift card honoring him, as our Fireman of the Year.  Post membership were invited to attend the March 27^th meeting of the Lancaster County to present Deputy Sheriff T.J. The 8th meeting of the Post was held April 2017 at Cruzin Reubenz.  The Post secured enough donations to send six boys to Boys State.  Commander Jerry Marcus announced a monthly program of speakers to address the membership.  It was proposed and accepted that we have a method in place for contacting needy or sick veterans.  Pre-printed cards will be ordered from the American Legion for this purpose.

The 9th meeting of the Post was held May 2017 at Cruzin Reubenz.  Guest speaker Lt/Col. Gary Dolan, US Army retired, spoke to the Post about his military career and his time with the 75^th Infantry (Airborne)during his tour in Vietnam.  They post Officers for 2017/2018 were elected and sworn in by Deputy Sheriff Lt. He also answered questions about zoning, growth and new business coming into the area. The 13th meeting of the Post was held September 2017 at the Sun City Lodge.  It was Post 250’s 1^st Annual Picnic.  It was a huge success with members bringing covered dishes to share.

The 14th meeting of the Post was held October 2017 at Cruzin Reubenz.    Auxiliary held their 1^st meeting.  Post Flags presentation ceremony with Cadets from the Lancaster H.S. The 15th meeting of the Post was held November 2017 at Cruzin Reubenz.  The Post committed to 9^th grader Soultana Kotrides to donate Christmas toys collected to her project of providing toys to children hospitalized for the Holidays.  Member Jack Clay offered to donate one hundred Beany Babies to the project.  The Post has great food collection for Thanksgiving and delivered the items to the Belair Methodist..

The 16th meeting of the Post was held December 2017 at the Belair Church Fellowship Hall.  The social dinner meeting for the Holidays was well attended and a great collection of toys to donate to Soultana Kortides project of toys for children hospitalized during the Holidays.
