The American Legion’s 100th birthday was on the minds of congressional lawmakers at the 59th Washington Conference, and visitors of the national website showed they are eagerly awaiting the March 14 availability of new commemorative Legion centennial coins from the U.S. Mint.

Throughout February, the Legion disbursed over $30,000 in National Emergency Fund and Temporary Financial Assistance grants and processed nearly 900 appeals cases for veterans disputing their VA claims decisions.

The bustling month of March roared in like a lion, as it did 100 years ago when The American Legion was born in Paris, France. See more highlights in this month’s Membership Impact Report. Click here.
