Dedication of the Doughboy

The Washington County War Memorial stands on the grounds of the former Washington County Courthouse.  It is located at the corner of 5th Avenue and Poplar Street in West Bend, Wisconsin.  The life-size statue portrays a doughboy as he reaches the top of a hill with a grenade in one hand and bayonet in the other.  The memorial was erected in honor of soldiers, sailors, marines and nurses of Washington County who served in the..
