Tennessee Post gets Temporary Charter

The American Legion Department of Tennessee has awarded a Temporary Post Charter to its newest Post in Hendersonville, TN. After five months of having meetings, electing temporary officers and participating in veteran and community events the Department of Tennessee was proud to award this Temporary Charter to Post 290, Hendersonville, TN. After 11 months of conducting meetings, doing fundraisers, joining in community events and helping veterans, their families and children and youth in the Hendersonville, TN community our Post received its permanent Charter. Hendersonville American Legion Post 290 recently gave the Hendersonville Culver’s restaurant an award for their support of their Post and to the veterans the Legion serves. For nearly a year Culver’s has invited Post 290 to serve food to their patrons between 5pm and 8pm on the 22nd of each month. As an award winning Post with one of the fastest growing memberships in Tennessee, they needed more room to store the many items needed for their charity outreach efforts throughout the Hendersonville region.
