Moultrie Sons of American Legion Post 324 received its National charter with 15 members

Apr 1919

Meets prior to Post 324 meeting every 3rd Tuesday at history museum rear.  Sons meet at 6 pm. Social hour with the post and veterans is at 630 with pizza and drinks and Sons are invited to stay in post meeting at 7 pm.

The merger of Post 324 and Post 533 was celebrated with a dinner at the J. Harvey's restaurant in Moultrie, Ga on May 22nd. Sons Squadron 324 receives its National charter at Detachment Meeting in Duluth.

Sons 324 was chartered with 15 members including  officers, who were elected on May 21. Cdr Pierce Horton, Sr Vice Geoffrey Martin, Jr Vice Paul Payne, Sgt At Arms James Troutman, Adjutant Robin Poole, and Historian Joseph Troutman. Sons 324 started with a goal of developing a national Sons in Schools program that would use drones lessons and flights during school clubtimes to recruit sons nationwide.
