American Legion joins VSOs calling for end to government shutdown

American Legion Executive Director of Government Affairs Mario Marquez joined other VSO leaders to speak on the immediate risks to military pay, family finances, and continuity of services that millions of veterans rely on when the federal government shuts down. During a press conference hosted by Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America, the veteran community called on Congress to pay our troops and work across party lines to pass a bipartisan, bicameral solution that protects servicemembers, military families, veterans, and survivors. ⁠
