American Legion Celebrity Night – 1947 – From The American Legion Archives

Documentary of entertainment highlights during the 1947 National Convention in New York. Celebrity Night at Madison Square Garden, presented by a commercial sponsor and Schenley Post No. 1190, featured American Legion Zouaves Drill Team from Post 29 in Jackson, Mich., singer Adrian Ward, the New York Giants baseball team, Vaudeville star Jimmy Savo, and other entertainers. This film also includes news reel coverage parades and Gen. Dwight D Eisenhower addressing the National Convention.
