American Legion Post 597 was chartered March 15, 1947.  We are  located in Historic Downtown Carrollton, Texas. We have a membership upwards of three hundred Legionnaires. In addition, American Legion Post 597 partners with affiliated organizations including American Legion Auxiliary, Sons of the American Legion, and the American Legion Riders. The Post also hosts and partners with Veterans of Foreign Wars Post..

Post 597 will be hosting a karaoke/1960's costume party.

Bring your beehives, flipped bob's, hippie hair, afros, tie-dyes and mini-skirts but most importantly...bring your voice and belt out those fabulous 60's music hits from such artists as the Beatles, Beach Boys, Rolling Stones, Ther Doors, The Supremes and all the other greats!!!
