WHAT MAKES OUR POST UNIQUE: There will be a Veterans Cemetery completed in 2017, with 5-7 burials per day Post 286 at Parkers Crossroads will be honored to perform funerals for those who have served our nation.

Parkers Crossroads Post 286 will be selling hot dogs and hamburgers from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. to support the New Chartered Post and Funeral Honors Team. We have had 3 funerals with our combined honors team, if you would like to be part of this mission need not to join our post. Only required uniform is a white shirt, black pants and your service cover. We have AmLeg, VFW, AmVets, Marine Corps League, VVA 995 and DAV members all are welcomed. Contact Post CMDR Rex C. We will meet at 6 p.m. at the Park, speaking will be the Boys State delegates sponsored by Post 286. School programs will be discussed for Sept 11th and Nov 11th Veterans Day. A Post Scrap Book will be submitted to HQ for the first time. Our Veterans Honor Guard has given honors to 5 Veterans funerals since we were chartered. Full story »

Post 286 Parkers Crossroads member Rex C. McBEE and his wife Julia attended the Convention. Awarded recruiter of the Year for the Auxiliary / Julia maintains her hard work in growing the new post/Unit in the Parkers Crossroads area. Also awarded as Legionnaire of the Year Rex C McBEE was honored for the 2015-16 year. Rex is the 1st CMDR of the new Post at Parkers Crossroads and Department Historian/Photographer, as well as the post.. Full story »
