As the Legion in Delmont has done since it began, we had our Memorial Day service again. And as usual, there was only standing room only available. The band were people from the area that meet just a few hours before the service to practice. We do have people that come to play as far away as Sioux Falls. The men's choir is made up of men from the area that enjoy singing. Everyone is invited to join both the band and choir. During the service we have a guest speaker and the Roll Call of the dead are read and awards are giving out after the guest speaker is done. We then go outside to the service at the flag pole and the national anthem is played as the flag is raised from half staff. Afterwards we all retire to the basement for a good will lunch.
