The service at the Legion Hall is held inside the hall. They have a guest speaker and the Legion Aux does the Roll Call reading of the dead from the Delmont Area. We also have a men choir made up of anyone that wants to sing and a band also made up of people from the area. Some as far away as Sioux Falls come to perform in the service. Awards and acknowledgements are given prior to the closing of the service inside the hall. We then file outside for the outside part of the service at the monument next to the hall. At this time flowers are placed at the monument and we have a 21 gun salute and taps. Then the National Anthem is played by the band as the flag is raised from half staff to full staff.
