Elmer Goehring received a plaque from the State Legion Headquarters for his service on the Delmont Volunteer Fire Dept. as Fire Chief for his dedicated work to help the city after the May 10, 2015 tornado. He worked endlessly and unselfishly for at least one year. He is still seen driving around town checking things out.
The plaque was awarded during the Memorial Day services in the Delmont Legion Hall. Post Commander Glennis Stern (right in photo) presented the award to Elmer Goehring (left in photo)
