John P. DePagter Adjutant sends the following letter to Congressman Francis Case.

Dear Congressman Case:

The Roy Anderson Post of the American Legion of Yankton, South Dakota has asked that I send the following resolution to you as an expression of the sentiments of the individual membership of this Post.

"Whereas it is evident that there is a World War in the making and half of the world already engaged, and whereas it is also evident that one side is spreading propaganda to prevent the entrance of the United States into that foreign war and the other side spreading propaganda to induce the United States to enter, and whereas our experience in the World War indicates the futility and folly of such entrance, be it resolved that Roy Anderson Post #12 of Yankton, South Dakota go on record as definitely opposed to the entrance of the United States in any war that will take American soldiers over seas, and further that we urge Congress to take all possible steps immediately to increase the efficiency and personnel of our Army and Navy, to hasten the production of materials necessary to the efficient operation of the Army and Navy and in every way adequately to protect this country against invasion from land, sea and air.

Yours very truly

John P. DePagter
Adjutant
