The 20th meeting of the Post was held April 2018 at Cruzin Reubenz.  Guest speakers Robin Ghent and Beth

Raffaldt,  Veterans Affairs Officers.  They briefed the members on changes to speed up processing of Veterans claims.  They also spoke about dental, hearing aids, prescription drugs, eye care and the new satellite office that is expected to open around June 1st near the Gates gas station on 521, Indian Land. They stressed that all Veterans should be registered in the system, if you are not registered, go by their office on Meeting Street in Lancaster to get on the VA rolls. A Veterans mentoring program is being planned to communicate with Veterans who just need to talk.  Harvey R. Hood, a charter member of the Post and a US Army Tank Corp member who served during the Korean War, passed away on December 30, 2017.  The Post held an everlasting ceremony led by Commander Jerry Marcus, draping our Charter in black.  Sgt. At Arms Elizabeth Leagan read his bio and Chaplin Marvin Gallaway offered the prayer.  Jerry Marcus, Roger Phillips, Ruben Arecco and Richard Steininger completed the American Legion Basic Training Course.  Cal Brink made a motion to save aluminum can tabs for charity.  Motion passed.  Adjutant William Chick reported that the Post membership is 141 paid for 2018.
