By December 7, 1944, the temporary charter was issued and – on one glorious evening December 14th – the Constitution and By-Laws were adopted and the first official election of officers was made. The “Founding Eight” – to whom the past Commander of Post #163, Earl Huddelson, obligated to their respective offices – were as follows:
