American Legion Post 65 helps community

Although it does not say how, American Legion Post 65 is credited with helping revive both industry and the Statesville Chamber of Commerce following the Great Depression. Many veterans and hungry folks were fed by the bunny barbecues which became common place at the American Legion post 65 in 1930.
