Jack J Magnifico passed away at the age of 91 on Sept. 30, 2020. Jack joined American Legion Post 70 in Nutley in 1988 and was a Paid-Up-For-Life member. During his time in the Legion Jack served Post 70 as Chairman of the Boys' State and Legion Baseball programs. He was elected to the offices of Asst. Service Officer, Director, Trustee, Adjutant, 1st and 2nd Vice-Commander and ultimately Commander. Jack also served at the Essex County American Legion Committee chairing Legion Baseball and Boys' State. He was elected to the County offices of Judge Advocate and Commander as well as serving as the Department Executive Committeeman (DEC) from Essex County. Jack's contributions to the Post and County will live on for generations to come and his knowledge and energy will be greatly missed.
