On October 3, 2013, the Nutley Chamber of Commerce helped American Legion Post 70 hold a Grand Opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony at its new location, 24 Franklin Ave. Pictured, from left, are: chamber vice presidents Andy Garruto, attorney, and Rula Abualhuda of Spence Savings Bank; Neil Henning of Fortress Financial; Pasquale Pisani of Edward Jones; SAL Member Doug Gentles, American Legion members, Jennifer Gentles (Commander), Henry Deltosto (Adjutant), Charles Kucinski, Andy Vyniski (Vice Commander) and Harry Bottino (Bar Chairman); along with Dan Leon of Proponent Federal Credit Union. The Grand Opening followed final approvals and licenses from the Town of Nutley and the State of NJ after several months of renovations that were designed by SAL Squadron 70 Past Commander Ken Ackerman and executed by a number of Post,Auxiliary and SAL members with help from local professionals.
