Outstanding work in the year was comforting Disabled Veterans in Hospitals providing Books Tobacco and Camaraderie in Government Hospitals, particularly Lyons Hospital. A Christmas Party was held at Menlo Park Soldiers Home.
General Smedley Butler, famous "Fighting Marine ," was secured as the speaker for the Annual County Banquet held at the Hotel Pines under the chairmanship of Joseph H. Edgar. Gen. Butler's vigorous address attracted wide Public interest

At the state Convention at Belmar NJ in September Rev Halloran again was re-elected department Chaplain. and Commander Howell was Elected Department Finance Officer both unanimously.
Most importantly the Morro Castle suffered a Fire and shipwreck off the coast of Belmar.
The Middlesex County American Legion and Legionnaires from around the State saved 60 Lives and transported them in the 40/8 Ambulance to local Medical facilities.
