There are now Fourteen Active Posts in Middlesex County. Middlesex County very active in work at "Toms River Convalescent Home" the secretary and the Treasurer of the Board Alfred W. Day and Harold G. Hoffman coming from it's members.
Financially the County ended the year with $80 in the Treasury as against a bare budget at the beginning of the year.
It was during this administration that the "Child Welfare" work of the American Legion was started and County Commander Dodwell gave splendid aid in this county which had the Honor of having the First Department Child Welfare Chairman F.M. Ritchie who has continuously served as County Chairman up to the Present.
