To the Service Men of Middlesex County, New Jersey
You have served your Country well; but you still have a big job ahead of you. Surely you won't shirk!
While the War is over, the mighty force for the good of Our Nation embodied in the Armies of the United States is by no means dead. We served not as Professional Soldiers but as Citizens to whom Military Service came as a duty of Citizenship and the Obligation to Serve as Citizens is still with us now that Peace has returned.
The AMERICAN LEGION is Open to All those Honorably Discharged from the Armed Forces of the UNITED STATES, but to no others, affords us a splendid opportunity of uniting our strength for carrying on the ideals which animated our service and for aiding those of our less fortunate comrades who, because of wounds and disabilities, find the War is not yet over for them.
Join the AMERICAN LEGION ! Make the Service Men of this Country a Permanent Factor in it's Life.
If there is a Post in your community, Join it, if not Organize one. The following Vice Chairman of the County are authorized to aid you in organization: Harry A. Richardson, New Brunswick, Lee Stults, South Amboy; Harry Kramer, Metuchen.
