On March 3, 1988 the Sons of the American Legion, comprised of male descendants, adopted sons and stepsons of members of The American Legion, and such male descendants of veterans who died in Service,established a charter at Post 54. Founded in 1932, Sons of The American Legion exists to honor the service and sacrifice of Legionnaires. The present S.A.L. Commander, Robin Burst, and squadron members work closely with the Legion and its officers, supporting the post in all that we do.
