An invitation from the Toms River Fire Co. #1 to march with them in their Armistice Day parade on the evening of the 11th received unanimous approval from the membership. At their Robbins St. headquarters, after the parade, the firemen presented the post with a new flag and staff. The coupling of the staff had been inscribed, "Presented to American Legion Post 129 by the Toms River Fire Co. #1, Armistice Day 1919". The flag staff is still in our possession and will be one hundred years old on 'Armistice Day 2016. The staff and, a new flag, is displayed in our foyer.
