The first regular meeting is called to order: Lester McCarthy is elected Vice Commander, Wallace Havens, Historian and Charles Newman as Insurance Officer. The assembly unanimously adopted the name of "George P. Vanderveer". George was born in 1899 in Bayville NJ, he went to war in France and suffered from gas and shell shock, George died of the effects of both at Fort Porter, NY in 1918. In other business the assembly decided to compete on the 31st in the fireman's parade and set dues at $1.50 per annum. A decision to accompany the Ambrose E. Burnside Post of the Grand Army of the Republic in Armistice Day services was approved. Albert R. Mathis was added to the Charter.
