American Legion Chapter 5 was chartered in October 2007 by legionnaires Bill Findley and Hal Dulle. The charter officers were Director Bill Findley, Assistant Director Brad Reed, Secretary Hal Dulle, Treasurer Anne Dulle, Sgt-At-Arms Dwight McDonald, Chaplain Brian Norman, Historian Mike Amos and Judge Advocate Gary Blackorby.

Chapter 5 is currently the largest Chapter in the State of Missouri with over 100 members.

Today Chapter 5 takes part in may projects and events which include:

Sponsoring or participating in motorcycle runs to benefit numerous charities.

Participating in local memorial ceremonies such as the Annual POW/MIA event at the Capitol.

Participating in community parades.

Sponsoring and riding in The American Legion Legacy Run.

Riding to honor fallen military veterans to honor them and to protect the sanctity of their funerals from those who would dishonor their memory.

Escorting military units departing for combat tours overseas and welcoming them home upon their return.

We meet the 1st Thursday of each month and invite anyone who would like to join us to attend our meetings. We also have a web site at http://legionriderschpter5.weebly.com and on Facebook as American Legion Riders JCMO.
