American Legion Pony Express Post 359 announced the closure of its Post Headquarters at 4826 Frederick Avenue in St. Joseph.
The building was sold to Hillcrest Transitional Housing of Buchanan County.
“The Post has a committee in place to secure a new Post Headquarters as soon as possible,” said Post Commander Jim Williams.
“The Post itself is not shutting down,” said Post Adjutant Jerome Goolsby. “This will be the fifth time the Post has changed headquarters so this is not an extraordinary event. We will also be holding meetings as normal and they will be publicized in the local paper.”
Post 359 meets the third Wednesday of each month at 7 PM.
