American Legion National Historian Charemon Dunham of South Dakota announced that Pony Express Post 359 had won First Award in the One-Year Post Narrative contest held during the 2013 Fall Meetings in Indianapolis, Indiana, October 14 - 17, 2013. National Historian Dunham read the results in her report to the National Executive Committee on October 17, 2013.
It is the first time Post 359 has received the honor.
