Timmy Williams, Vietnam War Veteran received the invitation to go on the Honor Flight from Kansas City to Washington D.C. The flight took place on May 15, 2019. Cecil Raines was Tim's Volunteer Guardian. Tim is a Legionnaire and Legion Rider from Post 287. Cecil is a SAL Squad 287 and Chapter 287 Legion Rider. They arrived at KCI International Airport around 4 a.m. to board the plane and returned in the early evening that same day after getting the war monument tour in D.C.
