Post 287 conducted the induction of officers on the first Wednesday of September. Past Department Commander and Past 4th District Commander Marvin Harper was the invited officiating officer. Legionnaire Harper is from Post 102 and has extensive involvement with the American Legion from Post to Department to National levels. Officers were inducted for the Legion Post, Sons of the American Legion Squadron, and the American Legion Riders Chapter.
