o Commander Barb Ebersole called Post 287 to order at 1900 hours. A quorum was established with 10 members present.

 Nomination Committee volunteers include: Billy Kretzer, Stan Aspey, and Tim Williams.
 2013 Consolidated Post Report (CPR) - completed and submitted to National and Department
o For the Good of the American Legion
 4th District meeting will be at Parnell. We will be voting on changes to the District Constitution and By-laws.
 Legionnaire Stackhouse briefed the membership on the Troop 60, Pack 60, and Crew 60 scouting activities. The next Court of Honor will be 11 March starting at 6:30 p.m. Legionnaire Stackhouse sent the thanks and appreciation the Scouts have for American Legion Post 287 for being their sponsor. Numerous Scouting troops are losing their sponsors, and having some difficulty getting support. Post 287 has a long history in moral and financial support of Boy Scouts of America Troop 60, and will continue to do so in the future.

o Commander Barb Ebersole called Post 287 to order at 1900 hours. A quorum was established with 10 members present. Chaplain Stan Stubblefield gave the opening prayer.

o American Legion Riders (ALR): Director Williams reported:
 Currently at 39 members. We don’t want to lose our Riders. We will give our members in rears a 2 year cushion. We are able to fund the many charity programs with the help of our volunteers
o Sons of the American Legion (SAL) - Commander Brock reported:
o Annual Corned Beef and Cabbage fund raiser dinner had 50 people attend.
 The Legion Riders and SAL are now planning for a Fish Fry (June 13th) in conjunction with the Andrew County Fair. The Fair is going to move from the 4-H Fairgrounds to the downtown. We will need any and all help from volunteers for the Fish Fry in the evening and the scheduled breakfast (June 14th) the following morning.
o New Business:
 Nomination Committee is working on the slate of officers for next year.
 Andrew County Government Day will be March 27th. There is talk of a change in the school curriculum for next year. Government class may be changed from the current mandatory freshmen class to an elective during the student’s senior year. If the class size and participation becomes greatly decreased the Andrew County Government Day may go away due to all the efforts from all the different agencies needed to put the program on. There may not be a County Government Day next year.
 SAL Mike Walter updated the members of the Post 287 website. The website will be live next week. There is a main home page, then you can select visit the specific pages for the Sons, Legion, Auxiliary and Riders. The main home page will also contain a description of our Post. The various pages will also contain pictures, points of contact information, and recruiting tools. The site will be dynamic and can be updated at any time. When it comes to membership, sometimes you just have to ask a person. So, send this website info out to all of your personal e-mail contacts. Find ways to reach out and appreciate their service.
