o Regular Meeting- Commander Barb Ebersole called Post 287 to order with 11 members present. Chaplain Stan Stubblefield gave the opening prayer.
o Guest Present:. Michael Black, Vietnam Veteran & potential new member. Introduced by Stan Aspey
o American Legion Riders (ALR): Director Timmy Williams reported:
 2014 Membership Drive and Dues to Department is in progress
 18 Riders and guests went to the Freedom Rock
 Legacy Run can be followed on Facebook. The pictures and videos are awesome. A check was written for $1,500 to be hand-delivered to the National Convention in Houston.
 Ride to Concordia to see the Moving Vietnam War Memorial Wall will be September 7th.
 School Supply Drive ongoing, “help us, to help others, who need help.”
o Sons of the American Legion (SAL)- report by Legionnaire Williams
 The Legion Posts in Atchison County are forming an SAL Squadron. The Squadron will be out of Post 199.
o Annual Health Inspection was passed with flying colors. Thanks to all who stayed for the “G.I. party” after the last breakfast. The hard work was greatly appreciated.
o Pool Table and computer printer are still available for sale. No offers have been received. The Post will consider donating the items to a local non-profit organization.
