o Legionnaire Stackhouse briefed the membership on Post 287’s history of supporting Boy Scout Troop 60 over the years. The Post has been a Boy Scout sponsor for 80 years. In the past, the Post paid the utility bills for their Scouting Building. This financial support gradually went down over the years as the Post’s finance changed. Currently, Brian has asked to Post to re-evaluate and possibly increase donation support as Troop 60 is raising funds to make repairs to their building. Legionnaire Stackhouse also invited the membership to this Saturday’s Boy Scout Dinner and Auction fundraising event. Troop 60 uses this annual event to raise funds to administer their program throughout the year. The event will be at the Savannah Methodist Church starting at 6 p.m.

o The Post 287 Funeral Honors Team was requested to help with one funeral tomorrow, and two on Friday. Volunteers included: Stan Stubblefield, Stan Aspey, Edner Rudolph, Barb Ebersole, Tim William, and Terry Beasley.

o Commander Comments:
 Debbie Williams and Barb recently attended the 4th District Auxiliary meeting at Post 318 in Parkville. They were both amazed with the impact the ladies have for veterans and their families.
