Scheduled speakers are as follows: October- Boys State Chairman and November- V.A. Representative from Kansas City. --- Minnie Cline Elementary School Flag Folding Ceremony- May 19th. Craig Curnutt) --- Memorial Day Ceremony update by Legionnaire Stackhouse: Savannah High School Band arrangements made, along with the Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts, Program brochure finalized, and Reverend Bob Caldwell will deliver invocation. --- Electronic Bugle will be mailed to company for repairs. --- 2008 – 2009 Election of Officers: Commander Terry Beasley, 1st Vice Commander Ray Maxwell, 2nd Vice Commander Lori Burns, Chaplain Barbara Ebersole, Finance Officer James Jones, Sergeant-at-Arms Jerry Fischer, and Service Officer Stan Stubblefield. --- Building Rentals- Legionnaire Lori Burns will be the point of contact. --- Military Funerals- Legionnaire Wendell Hale will be the point of contact. --- Minnie Cline Flag Presentation- high accolades were given to Lori Burns (narrator), and the Honor Guard team: Ray Maxwell, Billy Kretzer, Stan Stubblefield, Craig Curnutt, and Terry Beasley. ***

August 20, 2008 (Commander Terry Beasley) --- Legionnaires John McLarney, Edner Rudolph, and Billy Kretzer set out the flags around the Courthouse during the primary election day. --- Post 287 participated in the Cosby Parade. Members included: Barb Ebersole, Ray Maxwell, Edner Rudolph, Billy Kretzer, Norm Brosi, Jerry Schmutzler, Will Schneider, and Terry Beasley. --- Legionnaire Stubblefield will attend the National Convention this weekend, insuring the continued presence of Post 287 at the Parade. ***
