Eagan American Legion Post 594 had approached Kim Craven of ISD196 in the fall of 2016 to see if any of our members could help provide flag education within the schools. Due to the logistics of how this training is now provided, in each 1st Grade classroom and by each teacher, we were asked to consider making a donation for the class training materials. On Thursday, 2/9, Post 594 donated 100 copies of ‘F is for Flag’ to ISD196 Superintendent Jane Berenz and ISD196 Director of Elementary Education Sally Soliday. This is the book that will be used in the 93 district 1st Grade classrooms to teach students about the U.S Flag Code & etiquette.
