On May 8, 2007 the Ernest F. Oldenburg Post 216 was presented with a special achievement award for it's support of Cub Scout Pack 52. The pack is a member of the Ottawa district, Clinton Valley Council, Boy Scouts of America serving Oakland and Macomb counties.
Receiving the plaque at the annual meeting of the council were Commander Joseph Salvia and Commander-Elect John Nelson. Also attending from the Post was Past-Historian John Moore and Historian-Elect Murray Burley.
