At the regular meeting, Feb. 1938, the Post voted an appropriation to provide American Legion School Award Medals and Service Trophies to schools in our area, Milford, Walled Lake and New Hudson.
At the June meeting - The American Legion School award Medals, Certificates and Service Trophies were presented by a Post delegation as follows:
Milford School: Boys Award - Ralph Bushay, Girls Award - Betty Manning and Service Trophy - Journalism Club.
Walled Lake School: Boys Award - Herbart Avey, Girls Award - Meba Watson and Service Trophy - Newspaper staff.
New Hudson School: Boys Award - Chas. F. Weiss, Girls Award - Ethel E. Wilt and Service Trophy - Girl Scout Troop 7.
