A loss of six members was recorded for the year;however,the Post continued to be more progressive and the following committee chairmen were appointed to handle the various activities:

Delegates to State Convention in Lansing were W.H. Hoult, M.E. Hurley and C. Jentes. Comrade C. Stewart was elected Vice Commander of 17th District.
The Post again obtained the beer garden concession at the Oakland County Fair.This was handle for the Post under management of Comrade Jentes and unfortunately proved to be a loss financially.
The Thanksgiving Feather Party was the means of raising considerable funds for the Post treasury.
In January, 1937 a new Ways and Means Committee was appointed with W.H. Hoult as chairman to raise funds for the benefit of the Post.
Cooperation of schools,the local civic authorities and business men was obtained in the observances of the various national and patriotic days throughout the year.
The Post disposed of 1500 poppies with the aid of the Milford Girls Clubs and Boy Scouts on "Poppy Day",Saturday before Memorial Day.
Memorial Day was a Notable event,services and exercises being held in seven cemeteries at Wixom, Wall Lake,Commerce, Highland and finally a parade in Milford.New Hudson was turn over to the VFW of South Lyon at their request to conduct the Memorial Day services for this year and in the future.
The Boy Scouts Troop continue to function under the guiding hand of Comrade Bushey with creditable achievement by the boys.
During the year flags and copies of flag code were placed in the various schools in Milford, New Hudson, Highland, Wall Lake and Wixom and in the majority of the intervening rural schools in area.
The entire indebtedness to the local bank was paid off and the year was concluded with a balance of $600 in the treasury to take care of the alteration and improvements being made to the Legion Hall.
