
Frank Snyder was elected Commander, Solon Gibson was again elected Adjutant and Edwin Boyle was re-elected Finance Officer. Membership total 28.
A gain of 13 members was obtained during this year, the depression was not quite so bad, although still serious.
Some enthusiasm was aroused by the formation of a Drum and Bugle Corps among the Post members and this flourished for a while.
The Post obtained the loan of 200 chairs from the Oakland County Fair Association for use and storage.
More social events were put on during the year including a Minstrel Show and funds were raised to purchase the drums and bugles; however the Thanksgiving Feather party provided most of the funds to make the necessary payments on the Post indebtedness, which were kept from going any further behind.
The Armistice Day Program, which was held on a Saturday, (November 11) this year, was celebrated by a full day of events in Milford for the first time, and included a parade in which our newly formed Drum and Bugle Corps took a prominent part and various other local organizations joined in, sports events were held and the day wound up with a special dinner and entertainment for all Post members.
"Poppy Day" was observed with greater enthusiasm than in the past and with the aid of numerous members and the Boy Scout Troop the poppy sales were greater than in any previous year.
The Memorial Day Program at Milford, New Hudson and Wixom was put on with considerable more show than formerly with the aid of the new Drum and Burgle Corps.
During this year the Post toom more active interest in sponsorship of the local Boy Scout Troop #33 and Comrade Ralph Bushey undertook the task of reorganizing the troop and the job of Scoutmaster. A good start was made and new interest was created among the local boys.
