
William S. Foote was elected Commander, Solon Gibson was re-elected Adjutant, and Edwin Boyle was re-elected Finance Officer. Membership total 61, a new high.
The new commander with the aid of a few members became very aggressive in building up membership and the post was awarded the National Distinguished Service Citation for enrolling all the 1930 members for the following year before November 11, 1930.
New colors were presented to the Post by our only lady member, Mildred Boyle, and a life membership was granted her by the Post as appreciation.
The advance publicity for the Legion National convention which was held in Detroit in 1931 had the effect of bringing the Legion more to the attention of ex-servicemen in this part of the country and the Post was able to show a gain of 40 members over the previous year.
Most of the Post members attended the National Convention in Detroit at some time during its four-day period.
Social activities of the Post became more numerous resulting in slightly better interest of members; also, the Annual Feather party was better as a means of raising funds and again it was possible to keep up the payments.
Comrade Coe continued as Scoutmaster with the Troop with varying success.
The Memorial Day program was enlarged by a more pretentious parade in addition to the decoration of graves and the usual exercises.
Poppy Day was observed and numerous members aided in the sale of poppies in aid of the hospitalized veterans and the Child Welfare program of the Legion.
