American Legion Post 104 became the new home for Veterans of Foreign Wars, Disabled American Veterans, and Vietnam Veterans of America as a way to keep all organizations viable and visible in the Standish community. Each veteran organization was having troubles meeting expenses. It was decided to have each organization under one roof while still maintaining their separate identities. The decision to move into the American Legion post was made due to its recent renovations by Home Depot.
