In March there were 115 members who were charged with the responsibility to fit the Legion into the needs of the Brush community. The first year of operation for the Post found many successes. Apicture show and dance were held, netting $600.00. Grave markers were purchased to place on the plots at Brush cemetery, honoring fallen servicemen from the Civil War, the Spanish-American War, and the World War. Money was sent to the fund to decorate the graves of servicemen in France. A resolution was passed asking for the Government to grant a bonus to ex-servicemen. On "Decoration Day" a service was held at the cemetery and flowers were placed on all of the soldiers' graves. On Armistice Day, November 11, 1920, a banquet was held for the Legionnaires and their guests. The successes of the inaugural year were celebrated. The crowning achievement for the year was the sizeable membership that had been attained.
