The next meeting was held on December 30, 1919 and the new by-laws were adopted. The name "Sagebrush" was selected to be the name for the new American Legion Post. At this meeting, Nate Desky asked for permission to speak, and he presented a check for $60.00 that was a contribution of $1.00 for each member on that date. Post #68 had been assigned to Brush, and at the time the application was actually mailed, there were sixty-eight names enrolled on it.
