Salida High School Senior Karen RayAnn Wilkins, daughter of Desirae and Brandon Wilkins, was awarded a $1000 Scholarship by Joe Beakey Commander of The American Legion, Ray Lines Post 64 at the Salida High School Awards night.
Ray Ann was on the School’s Honor Roll 2015 – 2019, she was on the Salida High Girls Volleyball, Basketball, and Golf teams, and was financial coordinator on the school‘s newspaper The Tenderfoot Times.
RayAnn’s volunteer work included, Teachers Aid at Longfellow Elementary School, serving meals at St. Joseph spaghetti and soup dinners, serving meals at the Elks Veterans and Marine Corps dinners.
She plans on attending Western Colorado University majoring in Elementary Education and a minor in Psychology.
