» Jack Henry moves from 3rd & F Streets to our present location at 840 W. Fireweed in May of 1961
» Jack Henry became one of the civil defense centers during the 1964 earthquake.
» The Legion building became a shelter and people came from all parts of the city and outlying areas. People bedded down on the floors and food was served, volunteers assisted and the military brought in water and supplies. This continued for a week or more, during this time a Typhoid Inoculations Center was in full operation at the hall.
» Post took the initiative to organize doctors, nurses, ham radio operators, requisitioned drinking water, and took donations of food and supplies in support of earthquake relief.
» Post served hot meals, provided clothing and sleeping accommodations for those in need.
» One highlight of this horrific event was the birth of two-baby girls right here at the Post.
» Post dedicates the newly remodeled sign to all fallen soldiers, sailors, and airmen of the Viet Nam War Era. Post one gears up efforts to support returning Viet Nam Conflict Veterans.
