Commanders Message
The new officers for 2006/2007 are listed on the front of this newsletter. Congratulations to all of them and I look forward to another good year as your Commander. Thanks to all of the Legion and Auxiliary volunteers who worked so hard preparing and serving an excellent dinner for the District Meeting at the Post on May 21.
We will be celebrating the Post's 80th birthday on June 17 with a dinner and dance. All members are invited to attend this special event. RSVP is now required.
RSVP FOR OFFICIAL POST DINNER FUNCTIONS
In order to save food cost at dinners put on by the Post, you must now call In your reservations to the Post at 943-3114 between the hours of 12 and 4 or to the Post Commander at his office, 949-6634. Please provide your name and name of your guest. The next dinner will be the Post's 80th birthday on June 17. You must call in your reservation by June 11. You will be given a dinner ticket at the reception table. If you show up and have not called in a reservation, you may attend the function, but you will not be served dinner.
SCHOLARSHIP AWARDS
The Post awarded six $1000.00 college scholarships to the following students: Kadi-Rae Carr (Faulkner State), Heather Cooper (Judson College), Dixie Griffin (Faulkner), Catherine Umberger (Springhill). Carrie Williams and Anthony Ybarra (University of Alabama).

Relay for Life Team
The team did a wonderful job this year and collected $8695.00 and lots of awards. Team Captain Betty Ewing and Co-Captain Bonnie Dubuissson are to be congratulated for a job will done.
JUNE AUXILIARY NEWS BY PRESIDENT JOAN CARR.
13-Executive meeting is at 6 pm for all Incoming and out going officers.
The regular meeting starts at 7 pm. 17--The Post's 80th birthday dinner and dance will be a 6 pm. Ladles, we
need volunteers to help decorate the hall at 10 am.
There will be no District meeting because of the State Convention.
