BALDWIN POST 99 COMMANDER, LESTER MOORE, PLANTS IDEA TO BEGIN A SAL SQUADRON. He made a request that if any American Legion member had a son or sons who would like to help start this Squadron, please leave their name, address and phone number at the post. The qualifications and requirements were that the applicant's father had to be a Member of the American Legion, Past or present, and the age limit is from (1) day old & up. There is no maximum age limit. These requests continued until the end of 1993.
On January 11th, 1994, some Sons of the Legion Officers attended the meeting to talk about how the SAL is run and to try to sign up Charter strength for a Squadron from Post 99.
