Following the fire which destroyed the Baldwin County Post 99 home in July of last year, members of the post endured a seven month period of planning, construction rebuilding, and finally completion of the 4th home for Baldwin County Post 99 of the American Legion in Foley. Today, Wednesday, March 17th, 1993, Foley American Legion Officers were present for the first flag raising in front of the new Post 99 American Legion building at 2101 S. McKenzie Street, Highway 59 South in Foley. Baldwin County Commander Jack Thorpe, Post Adjutant Morgan Odom, Post 99 Commander Albert Hand, House Committee Chairman Charles Boller, Executive Committee Member Roy Gaston and Elberta VFW Post 5658 Commander Jamie James led the flag raising ceremony. Elberta's VFW Post 5658 donated the new flag.
