On May 26 Miller Justman Post 270 was formed with 15 members. Charter members are Alvin Raasch, Paul Zahn, John Beck,Edward Olsen, Reinhold Firks, Louis Beck, Alvin Wagner, Ray Lilla, Arthur Pruetter, Erich Pluedman, Richard Koepsell, Paul Lentz, Richard Ruecker, Joe Miller, Werner Shoepke. Meetings were held in the homes of the members. In 1948 the name of the post became Miller - Justman - Guelig to honor Walter Guelig who was killed in Germany during WW2. In 1949 a legion Drill team was organized by Oliver Krueger. The participated in many local parades, wearing their new uniforms in the Memorial Day Parade of 1950. At the meeting on November in 1955 the members and auxiliary voted to Purchase Mueller's Hall in Theresa. The remodeling was done by the members. Grand Opening of the hall was held on September 30, 1956. The building was officially dedicated in Novemebr of 1961.  A mortage burning was held at the Birthday Party in March of 1967. The hall was in operation from 1956 to 1978. After operating the hall for 22 years it was sold and the meetings were then held through our various places in the village until a new clubhouse was purchased in 1983 , remodeled by Legion members and is the current home of the Post today. Our meetings are held on the 1st Tuesday of every month at 7pm. We currently have 74 members.The building is also used for the local seniors for card playing at least once every week.

       The Post conducts many fundraisers through out the year. They include brat/burger frys, Community Band Concert, Our annual Pig and chicken roast. We have provided the color guard for the annual Firemen's Parade and for the local high school football games. We paricipate with the school in Novemeber when they have veterans go to class rooms and tell the students about our time spent in the military. We participate in County Youth Government Day every year. WE work with the local cub and boy scouts in having them assist us in out Flag Retirement Ceremony held in November. We also support the local Little Program and the Theresa Athletic Association.
