Post 106 of Seymour, Wisconsin has as it's namesake three Seymour area sons who paid the ultimate sacrifice while serving in the U.S. military. A group of area veterans met on October 24, 1919 to charter Post 106 and decided it's namesake would be Robert G. Krause son of Henry and Johanna Krause. Private Robert Krause served in the U.S. Army and died on October 10, 1918 as a result of wounds suffered in battle somewhere in the Argonne in France.
Then during World War II Seymour felt the loss of several of its sons and members of Post 106 met to consider one of the local casualties in WWII as a second namesake. They considered Pfc. Walter G. Ashman MIA on March 1, 1942 son of Paul W. Ashman and Martha M. Court Ashman, T.Sgt.George F. Wendt KIA October 7, 1944 in the area of New Guinea and his brother Sgt. Chester F. Wendt killed in Luxembourg in February 1945. Both George and Chester were sons of George A. and May Shaumberg Wendt. Aloyous W. Roskom killed January 4, 1945 in Belgium. Aloyous was a son of Peter and Anna Roskom. Marine Pfc. Kenneth A. Kraft son of Anthony and Arbie Kraft who was killed February 22, 1945 on Iwo Jima. Elmer H. Trost son of Paul and Bertha Trost killed March 3, 1945 on the island of Luzon in the Philippines. In October of 1946 the members of Post 106 decided that Kenneth A. Kraft would be its second namesake. Post 106 would remain Krause Kraft Post 106 for the next 70 years.

Then in 2016 during the 50th anniversary commemoration of the Vietnam War PNVC Russ Hanseter asked the Post to consider adding a Seymour soldier killed in Vietnam. The vote was unanimous to change its name once again. Sgt. Tom Richard Mueller son of Elmer and Viola Mueller lost his life in the jungles of Vietnam on February 1, 1969. Tom was awarded two bronze stars, one on December 28, 1968 and a second for military action on February 1, 1969. Surviving Tom besides his parents were brothers Allen, Danny. Jay, twin brother Jerry and sister Bonnie. On January 23, 2017 at the official monthly Post meeting the vote passed the membership. Post 106 would now become Krause-Kraft-Mueller Post 106 of Seymour, Wisconsin.

Plans were made to have a rededication of our Post home and unveiling of the Posts new sign with the surviving family members after the 97th Annual Seymour Memorial Day Parade and Program. Over 100 members of the Mueller family relatives and friends attended the event along with several hundred others. An open house and a lunch served and prepared by Auxiliary Unit 106 was a huge success. Members of the newly chartered SAL Squadron 106 assisted with organizing and setting up for the program. New colors with Krause-Kraft-Mueller were carried for the first time in the Memorial Day parade.
